Smart Places 1.2 has hit the market a few minutes ago. Actually the release was planned a few weeks earlier but the implementation and testing of the new features took more time than expected. In addition to that we tried to tweak the place detection flow a little bit and to get rid of the Network Provider. However; we had to roll back these changes and will focus on improving the place detection for the next version. Back to the current release, here are the new features:
Places:
- new actions (sound and lock screen)
- night mode
- reset cells feature
Settings:
- configurable location check interval for the service
- configurable notification sound
Help:
- new design
Bugfixes:
- fixed WiFi toggling bug
- solved database issues

Smart Places 1.1 available!
We have released a performance and stability update for Smart Places. It’s available for the full version as well as for the lite version. New features will be implemented in version 1.2 which is planned for March/April 2012. Please keep on submitting your ideas!
Changes:
- solved database issue that caused application crashes
- fixed behaviour after place edit, changes will be applied immediately now
- minor bug fixes and performance optimizations

Smart Places simplifies your life! It toggles WiFi, Bluetooth and sound in dependence of your current location. Simply create a place and configure its toggling behaviour. Smart Places remembers the location (based on mobile cells or GPS) and will automatically activate or deactivate the place.
A free version is also available.
